Who is your favorite wizard of all time?
These stupid Harry Potter QotD and Vox Hunt things are only making me want to stay away from Vox. Really, the whole world is not obsessed with these books and movies. Please go back to questions that inspire me to write rather than complain.
Did you see the Harry Potter movie this weekend? Are you going to read the new book?
I didn't see the movie, and I never will. I haven't read any of the books and couldn't care less about Harry Potter. I don't know anything about the characters or the stories. Not really my type of thing.
And to expand my answer...
I don't usually go out to see movies in theaters. I pay our cable company too much money to have the "premium" movie channels. I tend to watch horror and suspense movies. I think the last movie I went to a theater to see was "The Grudge" so you get an idea of how infrequently I go out to the movies.
I prefer non-fiction books. I do read fiction occasionally, but my book case only has about 20% fiction.
When is the last time you stayed up all night?
I stay up too often but not entirely by choice. Insomnia is no fun. Right now 3mg of time-release melatonin is helping a little.
I'm hoping to go to bed early tonight and to sleep in late.
What's the story behind a time when you got locked out?
We were given the wrong keys at the closing for our house. :(
What were your top 5 TV shows of 2006?
- Dexter. My Sundays no longer have meaning now that the season is over. Dexter is in my top three shows ever with Angel and American Gothic.
- Six Feet Under. I started watching the reruns on Bravo because I loved Dexter so much. I got hooked.
- The Lost Room. Okay, so it's a miniseries. I still loved it. I only watched it because of the Six Feet Under link. My only complaint was the utterly pointless sex scene with the ER chick. I'm glad they left room for a sequel, but I know that probably won't be as entertaining.
- Doctor Who. Who doesn't love The Doctor?
- Uh... I don't have a #5 really.
Do you have a nervous habit?

I bite dry skin off my lips. Sometimes I'll do it until I'm bleeding and swollen.
The best defense is keeping my lips from getting dry. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect lip balm or gloss. I need something not too sticky so my hair isn't plastered to my lips. No animal testing, and no animal products (although I'll bend that and allow bee stuffs).
Any recommendations appreciated.
ETA: Yes, those are my lips.
What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Submitted by Brennan.
Green Bean Casserole. Not only does it taste good, but I'm sentimental about it. My Grandmother always made it with soggy canned green beans and canned mushrooms. That wasn't as tasty as mine, but still I could eat tons of it.
I think I've decided on what to have this year:
Scrumptious Nutloaf (from "Recipes from a Vegetarian Goddess")
(un)Stuffing w/apricots
Mashed potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
TBD Dessert... maybe something cranberry/orange or brownies
It's to-go this year so I gotta try not to overcook. Otherwise I'd like to do something with sweet potatoes too. Hmm.. and cream corn.
What would the title of your autobiography be?

"Not conceited... convinced."
How did you pick your Vox name? Does it mean something?
Submitted by LeendaDLL.
It should be obvious, but my name is Alexandria. I want Vox to be my public blog, and while there are other nicknames/handles I use online, I want to be known as me in this blog. I suppose that if I hadn't been lucky to be on Vox so early, I might have used one of my other online names.
